I am in the middle of putting some new rear bearings in (4wd gl) and have some regular red disk/wheel bearing grease handy but am wondering if it is worth running out for some moly-b black grease for them. Any educated opinions out there?

Use the red you have- not the black

i thought you used the black on the big rump roast ball bearing ones, like in the front, and used the other stuff, in the conical ones like on the rear of my 2x hatch...

some more experienced grease guy should speek up =]

Either one will work. The moly would be rated to a higher temp tho.
