Vacumectomy with a little issue?

Featured Replies

Well I did a bit of vacume line liposuction to the brat to get a little more juice from the the old 1.8. Everything went pretty good, I've have a few questions I need answered. What to do with EGR valve? do you block line off? take off unit entirely? or leave vac hooked up to it? and then it seems to have created a problem, car runs and idles real good, I left disty advance hooked up, and brake booster, and one other I think. Anyways I have about a 45 mile commute and after getting into town and stoping somewhere, when I go to restart it reacts as if it were flooded or something like that. I have to put pedal to floor and crank for long time before it fires, and when it fires it reacts as if it was flooded meaning it takes a bit to build up RPMs, rus a little rough for a bit then its fine til I stop somewhere again. Once its cooled down or sat for a while its fine, starts right up. Any advise would be helpful, and to make sure all info is here its the hicrappy with the secondary mod done to it(remove vac and wire secondary to make mechanical). Oh yea and what about the line to those little vac thingys on the choke unit?

sounds like the choke is stuck

hook up the line for the choke

completely remove egr and fittings, block off
