Anybody ever done this or the WRX swap? Let me know, I am very interested.The easy part is that it will bolt right in, the hard part is the wiring. It is possible to install this set up using the complete front wiring harness and ECU from a 91 to 94 Legacy Turbo. The engine will run, and for most people will probably work just fine, but if you are looking for performance, you'll probably have to add some other engine management electronics. JonOfScio Posted September 17, 2004 Share Posted September 17, 2004 you would need to find a turbo crossmember from a turbo car... or else the up-pipe would not fit because of an area allowing access through there. Also, an ecu swap is a wiring fiasco, some saying it takes 40 hours or more or solid work. bleh. not my thing. and you'll want of course a tranny capable of using up that much power without grenading, and a better fuel pump.
