Pricing on a XT6 in Alaska

Featured Replies

I found one of the only XT6 in fairbanks today. Not a bad looking car.. Drivers back 1/4 panel is smashed and part of the bumper, and it has a blown engine. The owner thinks he is going to get a engine for it up here, but its not going to happen.

I'm wondering what I should offer him in Cash to see if I can get him to sell it. Its got a few rust spots but the whole car looks decent.

Also whats it going to cost me to get a used XT6 engine? What are some of the things that go out on a XT6?

Thanks in advance to whoever responds

You checked out the one on Univerity just past geist as you're headed to the U? That one looks cherry and never seems to move.

yup thats the one. Been sittin there for at least 3 months.

Tycho u the one I talk to on msn?

Yes.

There's an SVX for sale over on 3rd (?) and old steese (or something...past that mall where flannigans is) for 7 grand I think. It's in good shape...I'd go that route for a "fast" car. Nice to have 6 exhaust ports for your 6 cylinders.

I've already snatched up the "parts car" that was included :)

its hard to pay much over 200 bucks for a car that doesnt run, even tho its an xt6, you still gotta find one of the hardest to find motors, to stick in it... or an ea81 carb motor would pull it around pretty ok too =]
