is is possible to keep power flowing to the cigarette lighter even when the car is turned off?..i need this to charge my ipod while at the mtn.

I think you could probably take a male spade connector and run a hot wire from the battery to the fuse box and plug it in with the cig lighter fuse.. that would make the circuit I think

i believe the same principles for hooking up offroad lights apply... if you keep the connection hot you can use it w/o having the car on. (my lights are hooked like so: light to switch to fuse to direct connect w/ battery + ground).
