October 22, 200421 yr alright i got some 15 inch chevy 140mm wheels but i need some advise on whether they will fit or not. i have some snow tires that i want to put on the chevy rims but i dont know if the the wheels will fit my car they are pretty wide, the tires on them are 10.5inch but the rim is at least two inches less than that. here are some pics, also tell me what some of you guys are running on your cars, by the way the tires are 30's and i dont care if i have to cut my fenders just want then to clear. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=4614
October 22, 200421 yr Do you have a lift kit? If not, you'll have to do some MAJOR fender trimming and turning might be a problem.
October 23, 200421 yr Author sorry i mean when i get a three inch lift, im going to have to scrape some money together to get one but was just wondering if they would fit well with the lift.
October 23, 200421 yr with a lift youll still have some cutting to do but not much. w/o a lift is not worth attempting. also, think about a lug conversion instead of redrilling. not much more effort (if you can get someone to fab it cheap for you) and if you want different rims you have a lot more choices on what wheels you wish to put on.
October 23, 200421 yr Author im not worried about doing any cutting just wanted to know if such wide rims would fit doesn't seem like they would, but drilling will work for me not to worried what they look like.
October 24, 200421 yr Author im going to ask again because i need to know, will a 9.5inch tire fit underneath of a loyale with a 3 inch lift, these rims are really wide and i need to know if they will clear, these things are at least 8inches wide i can do some cutting on the fenders and i wont care but will they rub or what.
October 24, 200421 yr well, I don't know personally, but since you seem to be having some trouble getting a response, check out MorganM's page http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/article.php?a=3 he's got 8.5"s on his, and I don't think he's done any trimming/pounding to the fender to make them fit, though he has cut the fender hope that helps a little
