TD04 turbos....

Featured Replies

well I was wondering what other cars had the TD04 turbo besides the WRX and what years did these cars (even the WRX) have the TD04 turbo on them. Lastly, how much did you guys end up paying for them and where'd ya get them ie ebay, j/y, nasioc, etc....

*EDIT* Also I've seen some numbers like "TD04L" and "TD04E" and whatnot. WHats the difference between them?

Lets see! I'm just going to throw these out there. I'm not entirely sure.

Cars with the TD04 turbo stock are:

Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4/Dodge Stealth

Mitsubishi Eclipse

Dodge Daytona Shelby

Subaru WRX

Older Volvos

Will keep editing if I find more.

The WRX unit is the TD04-13G, I wonder if the others listed are the same?

One of the reasons for using the WRX TD04 is that the coolant lines, oil lines and flanges are similar enough to our cars that it almost bolts right on from the get-go. The others will not.

That said, I believe the dodge caravan turbo has a TD04 as well.

I have been told the older volvos have TD04s as well, but I have a couple of older volvo turbos and they are both equipped with a Garrett T3. I wonder what years they came with the TD04
