Hey, great message board, just bought 86 brat, wife has 86 gl hatchback , all stock nicest one I have seen. Brat is in great shape , has some rust but not major just some small spots. Have problem with instrument panal, I think it a short. Tach, works sometimes, same with volt meter and oil gauge. Also the 4wd drive light does not light up at all. Any ideas. What gearbox do you have?

4 speed, EA81, color dark gray//////,

Is it the Brat you're having problems with or the hatch? The signal switch for the 4wd light on the brat is located by the base of the selector level, under the center console. Check the switch first. And, welcome to the board.
