Featured Replies

Was way over on my CO2 at crusing speed. Anyone have any ideas. I passed the idle test with flying colors. I am going to start at the o2 sensor and plugs just did the cap and rotor. Everything else passed, egr, pvc, vaccume hoses.

Oh this is on the 86 turbo wagon minus intercooler.

Thanks

My o2 sensor was grounding out right were the wire goes into it, lots of that green electrolysis stuff around it. Car runs much better meow that it's fixed.

Looks like a problem with HC, not CO2. Tune-up stuff, might consider a new O2 sensor. Just my guess, though.

Yea I figgured it out. Did a full tune up o2 sensor sparkplugs. Did a comp test while I was at it. 120 130 every cylinder.

Ok Okk I am getting there. Used my brothers handy dandy vaccum tester and found out that my VACCUME ADVANCE was crap wouldn't hold a vaccum at all. Does this sould like it would lead to a failed cruise emmision test? Thanks Now I just need to get one from somewhere.

It shouldn't be too hard to replace the vac advance unit. I know they're still available for around $25 after market for the Hitachi carb.
