Hello Gang!

It's Mr. Quizmaster time!

Hitachi Distributor: D4H9-01910

Has vacuum outlets for both Advance and Retard

Hitachi Transitor Ignition: E12-48

Where's it from?

What years can I use it on?

the only ones I have seen with the 2 vac ports was on the pre-81 1600 motor. it will physically fit and work as is in the ea71/ea81s

Thanks for the good news!

It's new, I got it cheap and I wanted to put it in my EA81 which has a questionable distributor that I've been siliconing but still won't start after a heavy rain.

Can I use the transistor ignition and coil on the EA81 too?

Would I just plug the vac outlet for retard?

your set-up sounds like what I pulled off my '80 Wagon's 1600 when I replaced it with a '83 ea81 disty...

not sure how to handle the old disty swap into the ea81 as far as the vac stuff goes. I'm guessing you need to use them both. the newer distys have a spring on the vac advance, so that you don't have to back it off with a retard vacuum.... again, guessing....
