January 13, 200521 yr On my EA82, the dome light works when I turn it on manually, but not when I open the doors. Has anybody else experienced this? How did you fix it? And yes, I've tried the switch on both positions.
January 13, 200521 yr Lots of wiggling on the switches on the door jam usually cleans the contacts so they start working again.
January 13, 200521 yr The door switches went bad on my 86 t wagon so my dome light would not shut off. Had to relace driver and pass side. Maybe you are experiencing the opposite effect.
January 13, 200521 yr Take off the cover and make sure both of the mounting screws are there. One of the screws (I think the rear one) touch a metal plate which I think is part of the circuit. I had the same problem - put in a screw (cause it was missing) and it fixed it.
January 14, 200521 yr Ok now I have just to opposite. Doors open=light on, but you can't get the light on with the dimmer wheel on the dash. Think a little contact clraner will fix me up?
