service manual ?

Recommended Posts

So the how do you get your hand on a FSM and how much do they cost? The other day I was on Autozone.com and i found these 2 service manuals.

This one is for things like minor tuneups and is free to use but only limited to a few things, not usually many diagrams.

This link has quite a bit of stuff major overhauls w/ quit a few diagrams but costs some cash. when you go to the link you can check out some examples as to what they offer in the priced manuals. check it out. http://www.alldata.com/products/diy/index.html

The cheapo ones (haynes and such) cost about $16 and can be found at your corner auto parts shop or bookstore. For a FSM watch ebay and it will show up eventually - probably about $50-$60. Direct from Subaru is about $200 if they have any available.

I got my 88 factory service manual for $40 shipped from a member of the board here.

Half.com

eBay.com

Amazon.com

Those are your best bets... Although if you have a used book store in your area, you may have some luck there as well.. I have found a few late 70s/early 80s FSMs at a big used book store baout 40 miles away.
