Knock sensor

Featured Replies

Check engine light come on, I got the codes pulled...P0325 (Knock sensor circuit malfunction.) Autozone has them for like $38. I know where it is, and it looks like it can be done in the driveway. My question is, will there be coolent pouring out when I take it out? Any tips would be cool.

No coolend will come out. Make sure the new sensor is positioned correct (watch where the wire comes out from the sensor, that spot should not touch the engine) otherwise you crack it when you tighten the bolt.

Ok, thank you. I know when I was doing the coolent temp. sensor I had to drain a lot of coolent and whatnot. I didn't know if this would be similar.

Yup, no need to drain the coolant, this is one of those cases were the Haynes manual is way off. A 10 inch extension makes the job much easier too.
