dmpthree Posted February 12, 2005 Share Posted February 12, 2005 Hi all!! Finished up installing new used EA82T engine in the XT 4WD Turbo last night. Took it for a spin last night. Runs great and we love the power. Only one thing has us stumped. Electric cooling fan runs all the time. We have uplugged it for now. Relay is working. Possible bad switch??? Skip Posted February 12, 2005 Share Posted February 12, 2005 Ive never had one fail like that?? most burn open from too much current guess they could weld closed though simple to pull the wires off of it and check. sorry no relay involved with the thermoswitch the relay is for AC control of the fan the fan should run anytime the AC system is engaged (like in defrost mode) are you sure the defrost button is not pushed?
