February 13, 200521 yr Hi y'all. I just picked up my 2nd subie for a little more reliable transportation instead of the beater ('69 Lemans). It's a '90 Legacy L AWD wagon, great little car, only has 70K miles. God I love Japanese cars and their build quality.
February 13, 200521 yr Hey there.. Travis AFB, isnt that here in Northern California? -Brian Fairfield area, IIRC. Drove past the base signs quite a bit commuting between Silicon Valley and Dog's Country.
February 14, 200521 yr Welcome Chris! Subies rule! I've had one of mine for 22 years ...so far... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
February 15, 200521 yr Author I was driving around tonight in the Subie and realized I don't miss the Pontiac much at all. Sure is nice to have working A/C and a smooth ride.
February 23, 200521 yr How many Northern CA folks are there on this board? I haven't been on line with the board in an age. My Justy is still in CO, but I recently accepted a new job in Hercules, and call the Martinez area my temporary home. My wife is going to school in Denver, and won't follow me out for a year, so right now I am really just looking for a garage I can work on the beast in, before I commit to bringing it out. Besides, I'm not sure how the CHP is gonna view a justy with a full roll cage and wheels that stick out four inches from the body screaming down I-80. So, who is here abouts? Troy
February 23, 200521 yr Author Ya might wanna get some fender flares on that bad boy, four inches is a bit much.
February 24, 200521 yr yeah, flares for sure. I also need some new front quarter panels as well, so I'm deciding if I want to modify stock, or just build something truly ugly. The rear wheels are a whole different animal. I have looked at after amarket jeep and toyota flares.
