this is some good stuff, but scroll down to the pic of the ea81. ug!

where is his thermostat housing? does the water no longer need to go from head to head, via the intake manifold? does it just go through the block? as usual im confused

Kinda hard to tell from that pic, but I think he has a hose between the 2 heads. You can see a small black hose, just behind the manifold runner, somewhat above the #3 plug. As to the T'stat,????. Can't see it in the pic.

I found that page to be incredibly informative in general.

 

Anyone here tried some of that stuff, like the V8 2bl carb? Or disabling the vacuum advance, or the head milling?

 

I love how clean that motor looks, devoid of all the vac lines. Especially the small breather filters coming out of the heads. Can we do that to our cars? What would the effect be? I'm hungry for a little knowledge here.:eh:
