SPFI onto EA81

Featured Replies

Has anyone put a EA82 single point manifold onto an EA81,

Would I have to run an ECU to fire the injectors?

Is there any upgraded injectors that will fit.

I have just fitted an AWD gearbox to the Wonder Brumby and it is feeling the extra drivetrain load.

Love the new grip, miss the horsepower.

My plan is SPFI and a toyota electric clutch supercharger.

I have a set of EA82T pistons sitting here anyway....

why not!

yes, The spfi will need the ecu to fire the injector.

Is there any upgraded injectors that will fit.
The S in spfi stands for single so there is only one injector. I think there are some bosch injectors that have a higher flow rate but arenot a bolt in mod. Also I think U need the crank angle sensor or distrubter form the donor car aswell as manifold maf sensor, intake tract, wiring loom and y pipe for the o2 sensor bung. Similarly u can get a bung welded onto your current exhuast.

There is a lot of info on the mod in the repair manual on this site.

go LPG if you can, it makes setup so much simpler ,no ECU and no changing distributor although depending on how you setting it up you might need a boost capable vacume advance unit to fit on the distributor, they are not hard to get hold off
