Ssssshhh the tax department can hear us! I have not dived commercially for a decade but have been lured back to this as a long term 'dream' by the gold price index. I have a couple of equally idiotic mates to help, some prime areas to explore and financial hunger aplenty! Going for the big nuggets ...flakes will work too but I really want some colour. I will be pleased to update you, without any location details of course!

Howdy to all, I am a little worried about a part of my 'grand plan'. Advice needed. I need to draw two lots of 5.5 horsepower (11 max total) from the FRONT of an EJ22. I want to run an Ingersol Rand hookah diving compressor and a high pressure water pump. Could I run these with electo clutches (ala A/C compressor style) and off the serpentine belt system? How much can the bearings handle I wonder? Pipe up if you have something to say...

too wide with the over head cams.. Not really an upgrade either. Thanks for the input though. -
I am slotting an EA71 in a 1990 Brumby for an emergency measure.. A primary work ute is down for the count and urgently needed. A good friend (non member, yet non internet and non mobile phone farming type sort of a bloke..bought the brumby new though so RESPECT at 330,000kms) We cannot find an EA81 on the Island. Is there any pitfalls Which clutch would be best? Suggestions? Anyone done the reverse? It all goes down on the weekend so please pipe up ASAP. Many thanks on behalf of Howard, he is touched by the help so far. BTW this is the vehicle.. Cheers Matt

I have a 1.5 litre alloy one in mine, sits under the tray in the cavity behind the cab. Required when your ute is as thirsty as mine. I purchased mine, I would make one next time out of a fire extiguisher or an old gas bottle.

weber jetting for dual-fuel EJ18?

Turbo wategate acutator would be worth a look, My TD05 one is so stiff I can hardly move it. Boosts a treat though, might do the job for you. -
You will get that hp figure with just a good aggressive tune and a bit more boost. I have a '96 mode ej20G (wrx) in my Brat?Brumby, with an aftermarket ECU and a TD05 turbo it is making 205kw or 285 bhp on stock injectors (380cc) and internals. The squirt will be great, search the MS forums for tune maps. A manual boost controller would help get it spooling a bit faster, go the biggest intercooler you can for safety. Best of luck, Matt

You are still a lunatic! Outrageous offset..life is not a competition Slim!

I was where you are subyrally..my old '86 (the WB I) was too aftected for my liking. Easier to swap everything when there are country cars (read inland, no salt air, NO SNOW/ICED ROADS) available dirt cheap. I cannot suggest anything except keep your eyes open for a rust free unit. This is assuming you want one for keeps, not just for a giggle. I built mine with new bits from bottom to top, I plan to keep it. Rust must be stopped. It kills Brats.

Hi Guys, cheers for the offer Jerry but its got the Liberty/Legacy dual range AWD box with an L series/EA82 low range gearset. Spins all four. Matt

Its a long wait, but well worth it, WBII is Alive

I have different offset on the fronts to the back, strangely I suppose. I have Lseries (EA82) lower control arms and custom castor rods. Gives it about 2 inches total extra track in each front, fixes the camber issues and allows castor fun. So, the front rims are suited to a nissan navara the rears are for a 1991 landcruiser. It lines up perfectly! It took me a long time to suss that out grasshopper, but it wears out tyres absolutly flat and even, no shoulder scrubbing or toe wear issues at all. Have fun... LPSCbrumby, hows it going Dude, You are in Oz I see. Regarding your comment....Every gearchange and every minute I have to hold myself back! It's like a big road bike...too tempting (but I must). 100kmh = 3000 rpm The TD05 gives full boost at 3500 rpm (16 psi), overtaking is a light squeeze and whooooooosh. Much safer to spend as little time on the wrong side of the road I say! -

Hey Dalton, to let you understand.. I have the Woman of my dreams, I am weeks away from being a Dad, My car is almost sorted, too much to lose and nothing to prove to anyone. I have seen some sombering car wrecks lately and the weapons grade arse in the HP car factor seems to be the common factor. This is well worth a read, It is written by a British Police driving instructor, Take a minute and read it. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=421192 -

When I hammer it (and I do) it is on a private road. Its a Gravel road too. My full boost testing is done on a grass airstrip about a half mile long. -

I love the traction, the limits of which I will not reach. In a 1000kg vehicle with lift I simply don't require them. I have worn 2 sets out now (almost) and as I am driving slower I will buy the ever so slightly narrower ones to suit my rims (15" x 8"). Significantly cheaper too. The machine gets tweaked. Remember Dalton that I use this everyday and log 60,000kms a year in it. Not for show my friend.
