Remember some of us are Brumby people when you are searching. Same thing, other end of the earth.

Yep they fit. Strut mount (lower) is identical. Yep they are bigger. tie rod ends are your only grey area... grab a few different ones from the junk yard and experiment, there is a combo that fits. Big difference in performance ...Lego for the win.

I am using a distributor from a Subaru Fiori (sherpa), it is my trigger for the megasquirt ECU. There are factory distys, EJ 16 and 18's I don't think there were 22's. The New Zealanders have the goods there. Search for Kiwi members maybe. Go the EJ22, fire it with a cheap distributor through your megasquirt. And post some pictures....scandyhooligans!

Its had a pristine EA81 and 4 speed put back into it. It will be sold soon with LPG kit (propane) and fuel as well. They still bring good money here in Tassie, I will find a good home for her.

Well bugger, that sounds challenging reddevil...... This post resurection has been timely...we are in a reincarnation as we speak! Its back to gasoline, I installed a EJ20T bottom end, heavy duty clutch, a tiny (read alternator sized) blower pulley, a 25% underdrive main crank pulley, a megasquirt V3 controlling water injection, fans, fuel and spark! Its all in a NEW RUST FREE Wonderbrumby. I will be posting figures as soon as I get on the States only 4 wheel dyno. My Guru, Sir Will, is about to fire her up- we are looking for about 10psi and then upto 14ish when I put a bigger crank pulley back on (and Water injection). I am Very EXCITED! Bravo on what you have achieved with the wags Red. Its a thing of rare beauty. inspiration to many, me included. BTW the old EJ22 was still going strong with the blower and gas, the dog (groover) just wanted the tray back and objected to the tank being there. The whole lot is going in the jet boat! Out with the old and in with the new!

Got the WonderBrumby VERY sideways

Sorry Crazy, it works for most people....I don't know. Have a look at the photobucket site mabee. -
I have an EJ20SC in mine, I have SOHC EJ22 heads on an EJ20T motor. The SOHC heads are 40mm narrower each and it allows it to fit between the framerails. DOHC heads are just too wide without modification. All the EJ stuff swaps and plugs together, look for whats in the parts department and lego it all together.

The new one has no rust..it was a bargain (cheaper than rust repair) It is very hard to get modifications passed by engineers here in Australia, I want this one to be 100% legal and plated as such, there is no way that would happen with the rust I had in the old one. I am going to be pulled over by Cops more often from now on as I have a large scoop poking out of my bonnet! -

This is the Original Wonderbrumby, We put all the original driveline back in (EA81 and 4 speed) in preparation for selling, it is not ready to start yet as we are still working on the Wonderbrumby II at the moment. It is slightly angry with me for selling it and has bound up her gearbox and needs attention before towing or starting it.... Where it was located was causing problems, needed to be brought home (about a mile). -

I have been running the disty for a while, I was heaps easier to continue to run it and get my control through MS. I cannot wait to fire her up! A local Guru here in Tassie by the name of Sir Will has been wiring it for me; Finally I will have some active tunability and fan(s) control, water injection control, a spare output for boost control. Full report will be posted when she roars again.

Or jam a distributor in and use it as a trigger. Thats what I am doing. I will let you know how it goes, wiring up now.

I have a set of heads and a cam, make me a good offer. And an exhaust manifold (custom)

STD to four eye conversion

I am doing this in a week or so, Unbolt the whole front panel from the guards, swap them if you have two complete cars. Much easier. I am keeping the 4 headlight front from the Wonder Brumby I and transfering it to the Wonder Brumby II. Keeeps it all factory looking  -
OH MY, I hope you are kidding, Phiz, he must be kidding! Explain....."She' s the ducks guts" in American????

Bingo It looks like a compressor with a clutch, it is a 'compressor' with a clutch.

I have to agree, the local town Cop has had a good look under my hood now too.... He was and is a Brumby fan, did not notice my 'air conditioner' or if he did he had the good grace to say nothing about it. Now I get a nice wave from him when passing. Its the driver behaviour they rate you on (unless they have to pull you up on a safety issue- in which case fair enough) I have a Mate I went to school with who is a Cop, total motor head, always has been. Loves the job as it suits his driving!!! Gets to shoot handguns at the range a lot too, which is very hard to do here in Australia.

I have them in my supercharged EJ22 as well, the boost caused a little oil blow by, it solved that too. I would replace the PCV valve with an OEM one as suggested as well. Cut about a square inch and roll it up, push it down the pipe just below the air cleaner, it unrolls in the pipe to fix itself in position.

They are oil resistant, I use them to clean up old sump pans and dirty parts. The service dude @ my dealer (he had been there the longest and was the only one there when EA82s were new) Said....leave them in there.....make sure they are tightly fixed in, they cannot get past the smaller rocker cover fittings and there is not the vacuum to ever suck them in. They are providing a medium for the vapour dropules to condense onto and drip down from.
