February 28, 200521 yr Any ideas for a place to start? Are they cable driven or all electric? Posted in the Marketplace to try and find a repair manual for it.
February 28, 200521 yr what year is it? The speedo is cable driven. I dont know what could be wrong since I never had a failure. I do have an extra 85 XT turbo 2WD 5spd digidash laying around.
February 28, 200521 yr Author It's an 86. I haven't really started looking into it yet. I would guess a cable broke because it just stopped, along with the odometer. Everything else on the dash works. How much for the dash just in case?
February 28, 200521 yr flashlight and mirror will help you check the cable where it plugs into the back of the odometer. reach up in there and have a look at things. might have just pulled out.

February 28, 200521 yr $35 shipped for it. But sounds to me either the cable slipped off the back of the dash or the cable broke.
