dragonwingsubaru
ive seen a few of you guys say in your sigs that you are running gm alts, im kinda curious about doing this since i still have the one i pulled off my astro, and it was only 6 months old when i pulled it off. it came from an astro with all the power goodies so i imagine it is fairly high output. im curious what kinda mods do you have to do to make it fit. since i had been stripping my astro i have all the plugins for it as well, i know i will need to change the pulley over to a v-belt 1. but other than that what mods do you have to do? if you got any pics it would be appreciated. ill have to double check but im pretty sure my alt has an internal cutoff(or whatever the voltage control part is) but ill double check to be sure. This type is sensitive to things like jumpstarting and such. They are easy to burn out. I'd avoid these.
dragonwingsubaru
well im gonna go up to my storage area tomorrow and get it so i can double check it, but like i said b4 i never had a single prob with it, and i did alot of jumpstarting with it since i had a car with a battery that kept going dead. but ill look tomorrow to be posative about which 1 i got, i know the fins are the same on that 2nd 1. i may not technically have either of them
