can't find switched 12v

Featured Replies

Does anyone know off hand which wire is the switched 12v in my 87 GL10?

I found the constant 12V, can't find switched. Was wondering if i could just take both yellow and red from my deck right to that constant 12v.

Thanks for the help.

the blue wire will be live with the acc position. connect your constant to the green and your memory to the blue wire

that green wire wasn't hot at all, tried it with acc on and off, the only hot wire i found was blue/yellow. I tried splicing both yellow and red from the stereo to that b/y wire, but the memory gets erased when I turn the key off, which is very strange when that b/y wire is always hot. I must be missing something!

Can anyone help me?

Thats sounds odd

in my sube, i had to run a constant hot from the battery cos mine didnt have one.

Cant remember what colours where what though

If all else fails, take a wire from the ciggy lighter, it should be switched with acc.

what are you using for ground?

i found the ground wire, black..

i got all four speakers working, i didnt use the two ground wire on the back speakers, dont ask me how that works, but the sound is great! only problem is getting the switched power...

i'll give it a try with the cig though

thanks
