my hill-holder clutch stopped working when i got back from school today. I was going to pick up my friend at work and on the way up the hill, i noticed it didn't hold like it usually does. let off the brake, kept rolling... and i was in 1st gear. how do i fix this?

maybe it needs adjusted? I have been told that the proper adjustment is when there is a dime size space in the spring at the end of the HH cable.

ditto on that - but really, driving without one is not the end of the world; mine is out of adjustment so it doesn't work - I just coordinate my feet carefully

Try pushing hard on the brake when you stop. If that doesnt help, the cable is adjusted at the clutch fork. Just remember that when its adj the clutch needs to be adj again.
