Turbo kits for 04 Legacy 2.5????????

Featured Replies

I'm interested in the posibility of installing a complete turbo kit. I've found kits for Impreza 2.5. I'd like to create a nice comfortable sleeper of a 4dr.

Has anyone here seen or heard of availability of a turbo kit for the 04/ 2.5 NA motors yet? Will a kit for a Impreza fit into the Legacy?

What about ignition upgrades for the same?

Open Deck + Turbo = self destruct.

Trade it in and get an 05' GT...debadge it and voila...sleeper.

Word also has it that the 2.5 pistons were changed in '02 to a more fragile alloy/construction than previous. The earlier pistons could tolerate a small amount of incidental detonation, but the new part number will blow the top edge and ring land off with the slightest amount of det under boost.

First Subaru. This is good information to know. I guess it stands to reason that NOS is out of the question (<50 shot).

You would need new everything.. block/heads/pistons/cams/ might as well find a 2.5 turbo (sti motor) to drop in it.. or just get a 2.5 turbo legacy and debadge it.. take a look at www.cobbtuning.com though.. if you got another 30-60 grand to put it in it you can have a pretty mean machine!

block/heads/pistons/cams/

sounds a little extensive to get the job done.
