i want to paint my car, its an 81 wagon, tan with one blue door and one white door. however i dont have a lot of cash, would it work to just rattle can primer it? and if so what colors are good?

maybe theres a school or somthing that teaches autobody that can do it. they usually do it for just the cost of materails.

what would be a good color? im in a toss up between blue and white and black

white is best. black shows all imperfections, blue is transparent and will take a lot of paint to cover. get the $14.95 automotive spray gun from harbor freight. i use them all the time.

I almost painted my Loyale camo, but then becided I should wail utill I scrape up more of whats left of the paint thats already on it. Maybe I will when I replace the rusty front fenders.

white looks good when its really clean, like < 24hrs after a wash. after that, its dirty as hell. i had a white cavalier, and the buggy is white too.... i am not buying anymore white cars!

yeah i was thinking about white and then like the bottom half or like bottom 1/4 of the car go black. and then like the hood black or something.

I saw that car at the grocery store in woolley Monday or Tuesday! Thought to myself, ''that car could be cammo'd pretty easily'' LOL. But seriously - you could probably just get tan rattle-can made to match the rest of the car so it was at least one color...... Tan is a great ''hide-the-dirt-don't-have-to-wash-as-often'' color :D
