Does anyone off hand know how much a 3.7 diff weighs off of a gl wagon? Thanks. I guessed 40 pounds.

I've heard somewhere around 60 lbs, can't remember if that was with or without oil though.

Last time I shipped one, I recall about 50 pounds.

 

UPS doesn't start hitting hard with the billing until 70 pounds, so if you're shipping it you should be fine.

I just weighed one my home scale and it came out close to 70 lbs I think. Add packing box and packing and we are over the magic weight.

Hm, interesting. I wonder if different diffs had different weights? Last one I shipped was a 4.11 Legacy diff, and it was pretty solidly under the magic weight. I'm 100% sure of it.

i've shipped a few and i thought they were around 40, but that was awhile ago.

Hey, I'll be shipping one of these soon and will weigh it more accurately than with a bathroom scale.

I just packed a 3.900 open diff (EA82) for shipping. Box is 23"x12"x11" and the total weight is 55 lbs.
