i just joined this site a few days ago could someone please tell me what the abbreavations mean e81 e81t e82 and any other relevent information

Well the ea81 is the engine found in subarus made between 1979 and 1984 and brats, the ea82t is the turbo version, and the ea82 is the engine found in subes made 1985 till 1994, it came in Carburettured, Single Piont Fuel Injection (SPFI) and Multi Point FI (MPFI) and it also came in a turbo version - ea82t

fixed it for ya,

oh and subaru kept the hatchback with the old body style with an ea81 till around 87 or 88. and er27 was the xt6 6cyl motor
