Has been ralling for a while and has a cool wedsite if ya want to check it out http://www.allwheelsdriven.net He said he has a ej 1.8 that I could swap with my ea82. Does anyone have some input on that swap? Do you need a new ECU?
May 26, 200520 yr You will need the ECU, complete wiring harness and either the EJ transmission or an adapter plate to mate the EJ motor to the EA tranny.

I was particularly surprised to see that they will be making a rally car available for rent next year!!?? Man I know how I drive normal rental cars on the road, I can't imagine what I might do if i got it on a rally course!! That poor GTI is going to be so dead by the end of the season.
