  1. I just add a brat that I did today it still needs some work.
  2. I would be into making stickers if there is a demand for it. If someone wants to send me a suby pic maybe we could make shirts, flyers or whatever. This is done with vector graphics so you can blow the image up to almost any size with out losing image quality. The pic doesn't need to be great it just needs to be about 500 KB size and a good layout but color quality isn't important. That was my first illistration I would like to make up a couple more if some one wants to donate the pics. I would love to do an older rally subaru!!! lagwagon
  3. Yup...enjoying the slush. You still in PDX
  4. I use a program called flash. The wheels didn't look right totally flat so i tweaked them. Maybe I should put on some big mud tires.
  5. here is an illistration of my 92 loyale. I just add a brat that I did today it still needs some work.
  6. Nice looking car! I would drop the back end a little more. I think it really helps the handling. I have the same 13 inch alloys and just so you know they give you a wider wheel base by about and inch on each side. My wheels are dead even with the outside of the wheel well.
  7. I just put in a new clutch on Saturday. I noticed it said turbo clutch on the box, so I asked my mechanic if it would still work and he said yes and it would be a little stiffer. Well I know it works but I can't tell a difference.
  8. I p&p my heads when i rebuild my ea-82. I use a flexible dremmel with the metal bit. I just removed the casting marks on both intake and exhaust sides. But I only polished the exhaust side. From what I was told there is a bumpy texture to the walls of the intake side. this helps mix the air with the fuel so don't polish this side. By polishing the exhaust side it is a lot harder for carbon to stick to it. Also make sure your gaskets match up well and don't leave a little lip inside.
  9. My clutch is going so it's time for a new one. This might be a stupid question so consider yourself warned. I have a loyale and drive it kinda hard. would there be any performance gain if I used a turbo clutch kit or should I just use a normal one? I bought a high volume oil pump and I'm gonna replace the timing belt while i'm in there. Is there anything else I should replace while I'm in there? thanks!
  10. My first suby was a 2 wheel drive 1992 wagon. This car was the first reliable car I ever owned. It off roaded well for only being a 2 wheel drive. My second suby is a 4wd 92 loyale wagon which I have owned for 13 yrs now. This car is incredible. it has under gone some amazing abuse and it still running strong at 200k. I owned a turbo gl-10 sedan for a little while but I got a little too excited with it and messed it up a little ,but that is another story. My brother let me drive home his WRX when he bought it and I drooled a little bit on the way home. But last week my friend Phil bought an STI and he was foolish enough to let me take it for a spin. By myself I might ad. This car would convert anyone to a subaru lover. I have never driven a car even close to being that sporty before. The thing took off like a bat out of heck after 3000 rpm. Simply an amazing automoblie. Adjustible LSD, Intercooler sprayer, built in body reinforcements, big brakes. Wow... I think this car is pulling 7.5lbs for every pony. That's a pretty good power to weight ratio.Indy cars are like 1 to 1. My loyale is like 27 to 1 an it's a light car. Anyway I have always liked the suby's and it looks like they are only getting better.
  11. I use a Super Stock Accel 8140. I noticed a big difference. I actually think it was the single best mod I have done to my car. If you play with your timing a little you can improve your throttle response considerably. Usually when you floor it with the stock coil there is a dead spot for a second and then the can throttles up. On the down side you do lose a little top end speed for some reason. I have never had any problems with the coil either and I have been running it for over 5 years. You definately work your spark plugs harder with this coil so you may need to replace them more frequently as well as your wires.
  12. I test drove a 93 Legacy turbo wagon. I was quite impressed with the power. It's an auto trans. I guess it's pretty straight forward to put in a 5 speed manual trans. Does anyone own one of these rigs and have some feedback?
  13. The local second hand suby dealer Barrett. A super cool guy. Has been ralling for a while and has a cool wedsite if ya want to check it out http://www.allwheelsdriven.net He said he has a ej 1.8 that I could swap with my ea82. Does anyone have some input on that swap? Do you need a new ECU?
  14. My next door neighbor just gave me a full time AWD turbo GL wagon with a blown head. I'm not into automatic tranny usually but the full time AWD sound kind of nice. I always wanted a street suby and an off road suby. The turbo is the obvious street ride. Does anyone out there like the auto tranny or should I put in a 5 speed?
