changed coils to acell , regaped plugs at .48 , now it back fires , could i have mixed up coil wires ? timing is set at 8 degrees

before all this it ran fine ,

I take it you pulled the coil and wires off the '84 Auto BRAT.

 

Yep, you could've crossed-up a couple of the plug wires. That will definetly cause it to backfire.

 

#1 is the rearmost on the disty cap, turns CCW going from memory only here, as the books are out in the garage.

i changed 1 wire at a time , only used the coil from the a/t brat , i have no time to mess with the brat , taking the dl wagon , thanks
