May 29, 200520 yr I'm about to install my '02 WRX intercooler on the RX. From talking with Will, he said he used an EA82T turbo inlet hose that goes from the MAF sensor to the turbo as his IC -> TB hose. I have my intake currently bolted on and I tried to attach the hose BUT the PCV system is getting in the way. How should I reroute my PCV system to make this work? Has anyone else done this setup that can help? Here's a pic of Will's RX with a stock WRX intercooler http://consumer.inkfrog.com/pix/WJM/DSCF3522.JPG Any ideas? Also I need to know where the vacuum lines on the passenger side go to on the turbo. I forgot to mark them when I pulled the motor and now, I totally forgot!
May 30, 200520 yr I redid the PCV system. its just a breather filter, and lines from that filter just branch out to the covers and center pcv. its an 87+ turbo intake pipe. and since you are using an EBC, you dont need to worry about those vac lines foing to/from the turbo for the stock EBC system.
May 30, 200520 yr Author so then how do they hook up with the EBC? Where does the EBC controller go too? I could look in the manual but it confuses me sometimes when I look at it:rolleyes: So then I don't need those lines anymore?
May 30, 200520 yr One of those switches on the strut tower is for the boost light, and it also triggers the ECU to ignore the 02 sensor while under boost, so I'd think it might lean out or otherwise not run right under boost if you don't have that oen hooked up, but I don't remember what the other ones are for, and yours doesn't have the EBC, cuz you don't have the "hockey puck" on the strut tower like I do, and I am not sure but I think that the boost controller hooks up to the line that runs from the wastegate to the compressor side of the turbo.
