Phaedras
Yeah, she starts up just fine, but lately the idle has been very rough in the beginning and relatively low at a stop. It's also happened that she ran generally rough and misfired quite a bit and it felt like she was choking when I hit the gas. After 2-3 mins everything fine. My O2 sensor is brand new, as well as all the regular tune up stuff. What gives?
calebz
Coolant temp sensor? IAC maybe?
Phaedras
IAC has been SOAKED twice in carb cleaner and seafoam. While running and while not. How can I tell if the coolant temp is malfunctioning? Will it show up on my dash guage or is it separate? Can I check with a multimeter?

It is specifically for the fuel injectoin computers fuel calculation info. I have rarely seen them go bad, usually, the contacts are corroded. Honestly though, it sounds more like an IAC thing. Even though its been cleaned and soaked, doesn't mean its good;)
subynut
Ok, so how do we test it? Mine is doing the same thing. Runs rough when cold. Also does this hopping idle thing too: About halfway through the warmup cycle, the idle starts bouncing from about 1500 down to 800 then back up then down again for 5 or 6 times then the CEL comes on with code 24 and idles at 1100. Start driving down the road an it goes off. Great confoozed is I.
Phaedras
Is the CTS inside the thermostat housing like Chilton says?

subynut
If it's like the SPFI, it's right under the t-stat. Right above no. 1 spark plug.
