the_bard
There's a black extension that doesn't go anywhere on the EJ22 in the '97 OBS that I'm looking at. It's just past the MAF, sitting there, no sensors or hoses. I can't figure it out for the life of me. Anyone have an idea what it does? Just curious... ballitch
its part of the intake resonance system, to kepe high rpm and idle motor noises to a minimum, if you remove it and replace it with the non-airbox type you will get better flow and more engine noise, if your into that kinda thing. other than that it serves no purpose except to stor air in the intake tubing until the motor needs a larger volume of air i.e. when oyu floor it all of a sudden. ~Josh~
