What are the odds that a 4EAT from a 96 Impreza with a 2.2 would be the same as a 4EAT from a 96 Legacy GT with the 2.5?

My guess is that the Imp is a 3.9 and the Leg is a 4.11. Other than that it will bolt right up. If the ratio is different, just grab the rear chunk and swap that too.

 

Oh... I know the Tourque Conv from an Imp won't bolt to the flexplate on an SVX. I'm not sure how the IMP matched to a Leg?? So either plan to use your old TC or grab the flexplate out of the donor.

Dont know about ratio or TC mount issues, but the electronics shouldn't be a problem. I put a '97 4EAT from a Imp into my '92 Legacy SS with out major issue (swapped on the turbo 3.9 front diff), but they were both 2.2s
