Any Suggestions for turboing a 2001 2.5 RS?

Featured Replies

I need some help finding, if at all possible, a good priced turbo kit for a 2001 Impreza RS. I'm new to the Subie crowd and don't want to attempt a WRX swap. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This thread should be in the new gen forum, or in aftermarket forced induction on Nasioc.

turbo kit it and it wont last.

just a word of warning

kit will run you $2k to 2500

hate to see you spend that kind of $ and end up

burning massive oil or melting the shortblock.

personally. never seen a 2.5RS turbo "kit" last.

i have to agree, you should save a few $ more an just get a swap. it will be much more reliable and youll be able to get more power in the long run.

Yes, lose the forced induction idea.

Why not port polish, new cams, better exhaust and an uprated fuel pump and maybe a custom ECU. Would yield far better power and drivability - and not go POP!
