where should i buy a radiator from?

Featured Replies

Well i drove my gl wagon over 3300 miles from st.pete to jersey and back, and i made it, but, i am still overheating a little bit, and i also notice when i fill up my home made resevoir tank, it is bone dry after a few hours of driving. So my question is, if i am gonna invest in a new radiator, what type should i get, and where is the best place to get one? I remember reading about the "double row alluminum", but i did not remember the dealer, or the price, can some one please give me some suggestions?

Well first off... if you are losing coolant find out where first. It is possible the car was overheating cause it was low on coolant. I got my EA82 double row radiators from Radiator.com

junkyard ea82 aluminum. works like a charm.

i would figure out why you are losing coolant though. maybe intake gaskets are loosening up.

check radiator cap, you might need a new one , is the radiator flaking or green on the outside ?

I have to advise against a junkyard radiator- personally, I'd just go with something a bit more guaranteed to work. I also wouldn't get one from Radiator.com- I got one from RockAuto.com (which has LOTS of relatively inexpensive parts for all ages of Subarus) for something like $105 shipped which fit perfectly, when Radiator.com wants $140 before shipping for the same thing.
