I didn't get a manual with my '96 Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon, and I'm wondering how to make the antenna go up? I've looked and looked for a button but haven't found one yet.

if the antenna is up by the drivers side window you just pull it up, no power...if its in the back it should go up by itself when you turn on the radio...

It is above the driver's side window, but it appears stuck, and I didn't want to force-pull it. Could it be loosened somehow (WD40 or something) before I try again to pull it up?

You could try spraying some on there though I don't think it will will do much, but it may. Have you tried twisting it while pulling on it?

Don't use WD-40, use graphite powder as if it were a stuck lock ... but yah, just pull the hell outtait. Prolly slightly bent.

You know, I traded my 1988 Honda (that I drove for 14 years) and I STILL had the manual. Why people don't keep them in their cars, I'll never know.

I tried to figure out my antenna for about 30 min. on my baja till I just got mad and started pulling on it and vwolla it came up

and there was much rejoicing!
