What could cause one injector not to get volts or current? I dont think any wires have been damaged. The pigtail end has been removed and still no juice at the end of wires with engine running. I asked this question the other day but I dont think I was very clear so I thought I would try again.

What are you trying to measure with? The voltage will not be a steady reading, it is a series of pulses to turn the injector on and off in a duty cycle. You average multimeter may not be fast enough to read or display these pulses and it may appear to be 0 or constantly on, or any range of BS readings in between. What you need is an oscilliscope to look at the on-off pulses. You might want to take a step back and try a few things that are easier. Are all the other injectors firing? None of them? Are you hearing a ticking sound from the other three but not one? If so, swap out the injector and see if the problem travels. That will tell you if the injector is bad or not. If the injector is fine you could have a wiring problem or maybe the injector driver in the ECU is bad, but that is pretty rare. Can you provide a more detialed description of your problem?

I was using the noid lights, they were lighting on the other three. Oh yes it is a 97 2.2 engine. There is nothing coming to this injector #3 from the wires. I had a rough running engine and this injector plug appeared to have heat damage on it so I unplugged it to check it. When I put it back on it had stopped working, but it was not running right before I removed it.

You should have 12v with the igntion ON at one terminal (possible yellow wire) and the other should have a ON /OFFground signal (possible blue/white wire) with engine running

The (yellow )power wire comes from the ECM and splits off in 4 direction just under the intake manifold in the wiring harness , if you have power in the other 3 you may want to back probe the #3 wire further back up the harness and see if you have a break in the wire

like just mentioned, disconnect the engine harness and check continuity from there of both wires. or check from the ECU if that's easily accessible and you can decipher which wire is associated with those injectors terminals.
