September 9, 200520 yr I bought a fender at the JY to replace one on my car (same color, yea!), but it has that yellow ''pen paint'' stuff on it that JY's use to write car info with. How can I take this off w/o ruining the paint behind it?
September 9, 200520 yr I use those Mr Clean sponge things that remove crayons from walls and table surfaces and such.. seems to work pretty well.

September 9, 200520 yr Author well, I have on hand polish remover, WD40, and simple green - so I will try the simple green first, then the harsher stuff. Haven't gotten around to trying those Magic Erasers! I've been meaning to.....
September 9, 200520 yr you guys try soap and water yet? i write on the gas tank of my motorcycle every couple weekends(for drag racing), with the same paint pens, and they wash off at the carwash.

Wait till it sits out in the sun for a few months and bakes on, then try to remove it. No amount of pure water will do it. I've had luck with rubbing compound, like the kind you use for getting blemishes out of paint for auto detailing.
September 9, 200520 yr For parts that don't really matter...Like brake calipers or bumper supports, I always use brake parts cleaner, literally melts away! Daniel
September 9, 200520 yr I've had good luck with Simple Green and with WD40. was the simple green diluted? cause i know the simple green full strengh can do some damage to clear coats if left on to long.
