I picked up a really sweet running 72k/mi ' 87DL 4dr/sdn (rusted body) it's an AUTOMATIC and I'd like to swap it into my 87GL Wagon 4WD/STICK. Are there any major complications doing this?

as long as they are both SPFI or carby, it shouldn't be a problem, gotta swap flywheel and clutch though, but that shouldn't be a problem.

 

if one is a spfi and the other is carbed, the only thing needing swapping would be the distributor and the intake, with all its wires, hoses and the like.

by swapping "it" you mean just the engine? if the pronoun meant the engine/trans assembly then you need more parts, but sounds like you got the answer you were looking for.
