I saw these lights on ebay and they appear to be just the light enclosure.I thought these may be cool so you don't have to replace the whole thing all the time and have the ability to run stronger bulbs.I am sure someone out there has used these on a brat or hatch.I just don't know what size bulb must be used with those.

bah - you screwered up my suprise! It's okay though - only a couple of you know about this, but I'll post pictures about my nifty front end work on my 83 BRAT in the next few days....

Funny, I can't tell from the description whether these are 4x6 lamps or the older version 5x7 lamps. Either way, one lamp does not fit 82-87 Brats; the early ones had the larger headlamps and '84 and later had the quad headlamps.

82 brats and DL brats are the only ones that had the two big-square headlights (like the front of Der VVagon for instance in my sig) as far as brats are concerned - and slight correction is its 83 and later had the quad lamps (straight-bar grille though, switched to honeycomb in 84)

You're right; I was just confused by Brian's brat since it has the two big square headlights and it's a 83 (but I think his is a DL, come to think of it).

Don't touch 'em. About their biggest selling point is that they look crystal-clear; in actual fact, the optics suck and the reflectors aren't much better. Grab some Sylvania Silverstars if you want good lighting at a decent price - I've been running them in all my vehicles for about the past four years, and am extremely happy with them on a price/performance basis.
