Well i just got my first subaru ever and i love it.It's a gutless wonder but a very good one.I only paid $300 for it and all i've done to it is change the oil and just replaced a front cv axle, well it still worked but it buged me.I'm suprized how easy theases cars are to work on.oh ya it's a 91 loyal 1.8L FI with the magic 4wd button that never lets me down. The only thing i dont like about this wagon is that i can't find very many performance parts at all.I know it's not a power house but hopefully this site will help me do what i need.

welcome aboard, so what kind of performance are you looking into. If you are interested in a motor swap, you can look into a ej22 swap, that will give you anywhere from like 130, to 146 horsepower. other than that, open up the exhaust a bit, i went with a 2inch, if you can, ditch the cat. you should consider a lift kit :)

welcome

you might look into turbo charging

Hey coolride,By the way thank U 4 the info and if i find something cool i'll let U know. Thanks again;shortydp45

None of the older Subarus were known for their power.

Newer Subies are a different story.

The old ones reputation was built on dependability.

Enjoy your new Subaru...
