October 10, 200520 yr im about to by a 90 legacy that wont shift if you put it in drive, only if you shift by going threw 1,2,3 and so on.... whats up with this?
October 10, 200520 yr Could be a stuck govenor, a internal solenoid, a gumed up valve body. Sort of expensive thing to take a gamble on as far as its not working. How does the tranny fluid look and smell? nipper
October 10, 200520 yr the shifting is electronicly controled,not sure where.if it was govenor or valve body it wouldnt shift at all.
October 10, 200520 yr In automatic mode the puter does it. Picking the gears one at a time your overiding the computer. If you buy it, change the fluid and it may all straghten out. nipper
October 10, 200520 yr Author its super cheap and he says its got no rust, its also a Black sedan, the LS model.. so itll be a nice looking car... maybe just have to find a tranny at the worse but ill change the fluid, going to get it tomorrow thanks guys!!
