Oil change interval..

Featured Replies

Hello

Now I have Valvoline 15W40(it has 6.000KM---is ok if I change it at 7.000Km?) and because winter is comming I will replace this with Valvoline 10w40.

I must change the oil filter too?

Thanks:)

hm, that should be right, and yes, you have to change the oil filter. 10w40 should be just fine

let me do some math here... if i was you, i would change it as quick as you could.

Yes, definitely change the filter as well at that interval.

So...interval for changing oil (in a normal drivig style) should be...???

Under normal driving, I try to change it every 3,000 miles for regular (10W40 or 20W50), or 8 to 10,000 for synthetic (5W40 or 15W50). Although I also usually burn/leak about a quart every 1,200miles, so you could sort of figure I'm changing it every 6,000 just through that....

So my oil has 6000KM=4000 miles....and I use 1Liter/2000Km.
