soobme Posted October 19, 2005 Share Posted October 19, 2005 I need to get a little more lift out back, and the stock adjuster is maxed out(I'm gessing a worn out torsion bar) so I want to re-index the spring plates. Should I go up 1 or 2 splines? Do I just back out the 2 bolts in the end of the housing and pull the plate out? Or is there more to it that I'm not seeing? mcbrat Posted October 19, 2005 Share Posted October 19, 2005 that's what I did. just pull the plate off, and move it 1 notch only (down, towards the rear). it will give you a couple inches of lift, and make it a lot stiffer. mcbrat Posted October 19, 2005 Share Posted October 19, 2005 you have to remove the 3 bolts that hold the plate to the trailing arm as well. those are the ones that were a pain to get back in.
