November 9, 200520 yr Bought the $900 87 hatch that was in the marketplace and was on ebay a few weeks back. I had to go to Newark to pick it up over the weekend. Its a little beat up but runs like a top. It used to belong to someone here at USMB. I'veordered a new hood for it, and I'm probably going to get into the christmas group buy for some bumpers. It already has a BYB lift on it. This is a completely different beast than my old Justy. I'm going to put a fresh coat of mud on it this weekend. I'm so stoked. Now I can finally participate in here!
November 9, 200520 yr That thing was owned/built by a great guy that went by the SN of "EJ". One time awhile back i was in that car when we went offroading....it bogged out in some water and I just sat there as the water poured into the car. I started throwing everything onto the back seat so it didn't get wet. i sat there with my legs up in the air b/c the water was filling the passinger footwell. ahhhh the good times. If I can find some pics I'll post them for ya....

November 9, 200520 yr Author Thanks for the pics..Its good to know this car has some history. I'm working on some body/sealing problems already. I hope to get it back in good shape soon. Needs a new passenger door as the bottom near the sil is pretty much not there. Also needs some work in the rear quarter panel. The motor runs great, although it seems a little rich. Shouldn't take me long to get everything sorted out.
November 9, 200520 yr Heh, who needs a carfax report? I guess this one would be listed under "flood damaged" Good to see an offroader back in action.
