  1. Has anyone heard back from this dude? Prices shipped to US? I've sent a couple of emails to no avail..
  2. I ran the VIN, been in NV since 95 at least. Should be fairly rust free. I want this wagon..
  3. I bought ej's tan 87 hatch 7 or 8 years ago. After driving it for a few years, its just been sitting in my garage. I wrench on it here and there, but it needs some work. I bought a parts hatch a couple of years ago and ended up driving it around for the past two winters (I've found it difficult to tear into a hatch the runs so Damn well). After a recent windfall (and a rusted thru frame rail on the parts hatch), I've decided to finally put the money and time into the 87 hatch that it deserves. It shouldn't take too much and it'll be a great learning experience for my kids. I know some of you Jersey people used to wheel with "ej" back in the day. If you guys have any old pics of its glory days, I would love to show them to the kids to help motivate them. Also. I like the idea of seeing the history of a car I know so intimately. All the old links are old USMB links and are dead. If you have pics post em or send them to me at peskimeski at yahoo. Thanks.
  4. Please excuse the poor grammar and crappy typing. It's late and I'm on my Android.
  5. I have a question I think I already know the answer to but I keep second guessing and I can't find a definitive answer to through searching. I'm about to order some brakes for my 87 hatch. Of course they don't have it in their database. I'm good odering brat brake part right? They shared the same braking systems correct?
  6. Not sure if this has been posted or if I'm in the right section. I don't contribute much here, saw this and thought you all might enjoy it. N- http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2011/07/22/friday-video-a-brief-history-of-subaru/
  7. I like this method the best. Simple. I'll tackle it this weekend. Thanks guys. I appreciate all the help.
  8. Just bought an 89 Hatch rust bucket on the cheap. Rusty as hell but runs like a top. I'll beat around for the winter in it and then pilfer parts (FULL INTERIOR) for my 87 in the spring. It needs both from axles replaced, but came with two new ones. I check my manual and it says I need to have them pressed out at the hub by a shop (or use the Subie tool) So I get on here to see how it's really done and I find different ideas all over the place, people almost fighting over how to do this right. Can somebody tell me (or post a link) to the best way of replacing the fronts? I just need to get it done and I dont want to be standing there, scratching my head thinking "That can't be right"
  9. Hey..it's been a while...I've got an 87 hatch, byb, pugs, etc..I'm pulling the byb kit and setting back to stock. My intentions are to find a nice ea81 wagon and use the kit and pugs. The hatch needs too much to be pretty again (rust, interior, etc) and will be regulated to beater duty. The lift was on when I bought it, so I'm not too familiar with the process altho it looks fairly simple. Anything in particular I should be aware of? Anyone know where I can score a parts list for the BYB KIt? Just don't want to forget anything..
  10. Please read http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52357&page=5 I think they're too busy making old GP parts.
  11. WTF...........I just got home from work and got a mesage that I'll be receiving a refund. How pissed am I...........3 F'n months waiting for these F@#$% bumpers and nothing but a refund. BS! Never buy anything from these guys. They dicked me around for months, gave me excuse after excuse, and I still never got my bumpers!!!! I better receive every damn penny back..
  12. GB ended months ago.....I still haven't received my bumpers so I started posting in here again.....
  13. I thought I better post an update just in case anyone is watching. I dont want to soil the AA name so here ya go... Called yesterday and talked to Albie, turns out that they accidentally made my bumpers for the ea 82 and not the ea-81. It was an honest mistake (I believe it to be so) and they are now making the correct bumpers and will be shipping them in the next 7-10 days. Still a little late, but mistakes happen and they were quick to answer any question I threw at them......I'm thinking of ordering a skid plate from them, so I must not be too disgruntled:)
  14. I was under the impression that they were already built. We have an over stock on EA 81 ...Shady indeed....Sorry for the attitude, but I was told they would be shipped out 14 days ago and now you're telling me that they aren't even built? You guys seem to have a pretty good rep on this board. I wasn't expecting this much hassle.......If they haven't shipped by next friday May 5, I think we should start talking refund....
  15. Still waiting, Called @ April 3rd and they said it would be shipped the end of the following week. Thats April 14 at the latest.....Still no bumpers........ Will call tommorow to find out whats up............
