I just bought a hatch!

Featured Replies

Bought the $900 87 hatch that was in the marketplace and was on ebay a few weeks back. I had to go to Newark to pick it up over the weekend. Its a little beat up but runs like a top. It used to belong to someone here at USMB. I'veordered a new hood for it, and I'm probably going to get into the christmas group buy for some bumpers. It already has a BYB lift on it. This is a completely different beast than my old Justy. I'm going to put a fresh coat of mud on it this weekend. I'm so stoked. Now I can finally participate in here!

That thing was owned/built by a great guy that went by the SN of "EJ". One time awhile back i was in that car when we went offroading....it bogged out in some water and I just sat there as the water poured into the car. I started throwing everything onto the back seat so it didn't get wet. i sat there with my legs up in the air b/c the water was filling the passinger footwell. ahhhh the good times. :D

If I can find some pics I'll post them for ya....

Thanks for the pics..Its good to know this car has some history. I'm working on some body/sealing problems already. I hope to get it back in good shape soon. Needs a new passenger door as the bottom near the sil is pretty much not there. Also needs some work in the rear quarter panel. The motor runs great, although it seems a little rich. Shouldn't take me long to get everything sorted out.

Heh, who needs a carfax report?

I guess this one would be listed under "flood damaged"

Good to see an offroader back in action.
