November 14, 200520 yr 1986 GL Sube Wagon EA82 Carb Manual Trany Anybody have a bearing number for replacement?
November 14, 200520 yr It would probably be much easier and potentially cheaper to just get a pump from a junkyard.
November 14, 200520 yr Author I have bearing supplier nearby that is very reasonable. I thought that someone might know instead of matching it up. I would rather get the seal kit and bearing and rebuild Thanx anyhow.
November 14, 200520 yr I have not found a source for the front seal on one of these.... Did look at one that I had laying around and it looks like the bearing and seal are one. Hush P.s. If you find a source for the bearing and seals let me know.
November 14, 200520 yr 1986 GL Sube Wagon EA82 Carb Manual Trany Anybody have a bearing number for replacement? I bought a steering pump rebuild kit from my Soob dealer a year or so ago. It was like 20 bucks or something. Have no idea part #. The kit included gasket between res and pump, which I didn't need or use. Pyro
November 14, 200520 yr I completely rebuilt my power steering pump with the seal kit from th dealer and a new bearing. This bearing also acts as the main seal so its important to replace it too. The whole job took me only 2 hours. I recommend replacing all of the seals and the bearing all at once that way everything will wear at the same rate. I can't remember the number on the bearing, sorry, 6000 series though. If you pull it out the number is on the dust cover of the bearing, or just go to a Subaru dealer and ask the parts person what bearing it is, then get it from the bearing supplyer. I got mine a McGuire Bearing for like a dollar. And the seal kit was like $15. not bad for a rebuilt pump!
