pamonster
Well in two days the wather went from low 60's to 4......some snow too. Now when I shidt my outback out of park I hear a click behind the dash. It is only when I press the button in to shidt out of park. Could this be due to the colder weather? 1996 Legacy Outback, 115K
idosubaru
i recall hearing that while working on an XT6 automatic last week. don't think it's anything to worry about. probably just a solenoid that allows the ignition to turn when you're in park or something like that......never heard it before though so maybe it is cold weather related sometimes or i just never noticed until i was working on it last week. nipper
Its just the interlock relay thingy. Your hearing it cause relays get a bit more noticble when they are cold. nipper
